量子百年紀念系列活動之回顧與展望

今年是聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)所倡議的「國際量子科學與技術年」(International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, IYQ),旨在紀念海森堡於 1925 年在德國黑爾戈蘭島上提出矩陣力學的開創性工作──「量子百年」。為響應此全球性倡議,台灣物理學會特別成立 IYQ 執行團隊,規劃並推動 2025 年全年度的量子科普推廣活動。活動內容涵蓋講座、展覽、實作課程與科學營隊,並與國內外博物館、大學及高中合作,讓社會大眾與青少年能更深入了解量子科技的核心概念與應用前景。此外,台灣物理學會亦與中華郵政合作推出「量子紀念郵票」與「量子馬克杯」,藉由文化設計與科學精神的結合,深化大眾對量子科學的印象。同時開發一系列免費提供教育單位使用的量子科普教材,持續擴增示範與教學資源,以推動全民量子教育的普及。本演講將回顧 2025 年台灣物理學會在「國際量子科學與技術年」框架下舉辦的系列活動,並延伸至 2024 年的暖身階段與 2026 年的未來展望,探討量子教育推廣的持續發展與國際合作的契機。
The year 2025 has been designated by UNESCO as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), commemorating the centenary of Heisenberg’s groundbreaking formulation of matrix mechanics on Helgoland Island in 1925—a historic milestone marking the “Quantum Century.”
In response to this global initiative, the Physical Society of Taiwan (TPS) has established an IYQ Executive Team to coordinate and promote a year-long series of quantum outreach and education activities across Taiwan. These include public lectures, exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and science camps, organized in collaboration with museums, universities, and high schools both domestically and internationally, aiming to enhance public understanding of quantum science and its technological frontiers.
Moreover, TPS has partnered with Chunghwa Post to launch a commemorative “Quantum Stamp Series” and “Quantum Mug Collection,” creatively integrating cultural design with scientific spirit to strengthen public engagement with quantum science. Complementary to these efforts, TPS has also developed a suite of freely accessible quantum education materials for schools and educators, expanding teaching resources to promote quantum literacy nationwide.
This presentation will review the major activities held in Taiwan under the IYQ 2025 framework, highlight the preparatory initiatives in 2024, and outline future prospects for 2026, focusing on the sustained development of quantum education and opportunities for international collaboration in the post-IYQ era.
